Rustic Photo Frame DIY

An Easy Rustic Photo Frame from Denise on a Whim
I took some pretty nice photos of my kids a few weeks back and
thought a nice, rustic frame would be the perfect accompaniment for the 8x10 I had printed.
Using wood from a crate, I made a great little frame for my living room!
This was a fairly easy project.
I measured my boards and had a friend cut them for me.
(My saw was out of commission at the time)

Next, I used a vinegar and steel wool combination to age the wood.

I attached the pieces together with metal wood joiners on the back
and I used wood glue to sturdy everything up.

For the picture, I simply painted a piece of cardboard with white chalkpaint
and used double sided tape to attach the photo to it.
Then I stapled the cardboard to the back of the frame.

I think it looks wonderful next to my printer's tray shelf!
